“ First off, this is definitely a Pakistani gem. The food is spectacular, the restaurant is clean, and the staff is incredibly welcoming and hospitable. We had: - lahori fish: so good. Perfectly seasoned and crisp. But no one talks about their fries. HOLY MOLY. The fries!! Literally perfect. So crispy outside and perfectly soft inside. The flavor was 10/10. - lahori murgh cholay: incredible flavor. SO good it may be my favorite dish. Warm spices with the texture of the cholay and the flavor from the chicken. Def recommend. - chicken tikka: came out sizzling hot. Perfect. Classic - roti: so soft and thin yet thick enough to grab the choley with. - tawa paratha: amazing. Not oily at all but crisp enough to pair well with the dishes. I def recommend this gem! ”
“ Had to post an updated review as they definitely deserved it. Their ambiance and service has always been top tier. We initially went to order off the menu as we were in the mood for halal steak but once we arrived we were notified that steak was not available today, therefore, we opted for their hi tea. I must say they have made upgrades since my last hi tea experience. The pani puri filling and water was spicier and hit all the notes it was supposed to. Since the steak was not available they accommodated us by providing complimentary mashed potatoes to go with the beef short ribs on the menu. With the steak sauce it was a perfect pairing. The ribs were great but since it was hi tea and the ribs were such a hit took a bit for them to restock. My husband and I were both Impressed with the upgrades they've made to their flavor and what they offer. Best of luck to them in the future. ”
“ Went there for Thursday night buffet , that had all street foods , chais and also a dinner spread. Awesome ambience , went in for 7-7:40 pm reservation slot . Clean food, very attentive service by the wait staff and owner alike They kept the trays filled with hot fresh foods regardless of the time in the Buffet. Along with pani puri , dahi papdi chat they had kadak chai and gulaabi Kashmiri chai with almond and pistachio garnish. Everything was perfectly cooked and flavored . Small water bottles on the table . It's worth a try , have always had a la carte I. Mai cola hi , this wa sour first dinner experience and we loved ”
“ The best Sunday brunch desi style! We love all the flavors and dishes on the brunch menu. The service is fast and it's a nice clean environment. Our favorite is the nihari and paya. They have keema, halwa puri and many other dishes available for brunch including chicken nuggets and chicken boti for the kiddos. We love bringing out of town friends and family here! It's become family tradition ”
“ Came here for lunch on a Saturday, I was the only one dining in the restaurant. By the way, there's no lunch buffet on Saturday. I ordered the traditional chickpea curry, thought I'd just have a simple and ordinary meal. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the presentation and flavor of the dish, needless to say the portion size was above impressive. It came in a giant pot, it's enough to be shared by 2-3 people. The flavor is phenomenal, I couldn't stop eating it. It also comes with a side salad (sliced carrots, cucumbers and onions, just fresh and plain). The only thing you need to be mindful is that they ask you if you want naan or rice to go with your curry, without disclosing that the rice is not included in the meal, so I was charged for extra $6 for the rice. But the rice is fluffy and buttery, it's delicious. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the meal. ”
“ Second time here , this time for Sunday lunch with a friend and my 8 yo daughter. I was surprised they had buffet so we opted buffet vs menu. I enjoyed the food options and I loved the desserts. There's mango lassi and very hot (I burned my hand) tea with milk at the dessert table. The cheesecakes and macarons were good. I'm not sure of the prices bc my friend paid for lunch. Service was great. You can request for hot and fresh naan brought to you vs getting the ones at the buffet table. ”
“ Service was great. I do wish they had packed our leftovers. This caliber of restaurant, I would have expected that. The mango lassi was one of the best I've ever had. Our food was flavorful. Chicken was seasoned well. All in all, it was good and I'd try it again. ”
“ We visited Mai Colachi for a weekend brunch buffet and loved it! Given that there are so many Indian / Pakistani restaurants in the area, this one sets itself apart with top notch customer service and delicious food! All the food items were consistently refilled and always stayed hot. The ambiance is perfect for family and friends! We can't wait to come back here! ”
“ I was recommended by a foodie friend to Mai Colachi at First Colony Commons in Sugar Land. Just so happened I was at The Home Depot next door. I decided to walk over for an afternoon snack. The restaurant looks so beautiful. I felt like I was at a movie set. There is a small waiting area with booth leading to the front of the house and the counter for food pickup. The dining room is spacious. No wonder so many people booking private events here. I was the only customer at the restaurant. So, I had the place all to myself. I ordered Samosa Bites and Chicken Malai Boti. Because it was between meals, I chose to skip naan and rice. The waitress brought the vegetables and sauces first. Then, samosa arrived shortly after. They were so delicious and fresh. I chose vegetarian option because I want to taste the filling. It had a hint of spiciness. Flavored perfectly. It was my first time trying Chicken Malai Boti. The tender pieces came from sheesh kabob as I could see the grill marks and skewer holes on each piece of chicken meat. They were so incredibly tender and flavorful. I wasn't sure if I need to use the dipping sauce. It tasted fine without the sauce because it was very palatable. If I had naan, I would make it a wrap with the sauce. Overall, I had a wonderful time tasting the Pakistani food. I would definitely come back to try other dishes. ”
“ I went here with my family and was pleased with the overall service and quality of food. We ordered quite bit of items and they were all on point. Gol Gappa 5/5. Very good. The spicy water was very well seasoned. Masala fries 5/5. My mom ordered this for herself and it was an instant hit. The entire family was picking food off her plate as the seasoning was delicious on the fries. Chicken 65. 5/5. Another dish my mom ordered and was nicely coated with the seasoning and fried. Tikka 5/5. Tikkas were delicious too. Both breast and leg. Karhai 5/5. We got 2 versions of the Karhai. One traditional with the tomato seasoning and other dry, without. They were both on point. Marination was excellent. Beef Bihari. 5/5. Delicious and marinated well. Lamb chops. 4/5. They were good too and well marinated. A little dry but good. Aga's still holds the trophy for lamb chops ! Will definitely visit on another occasion with family. ”
